The express Inca Trail is ideal for those who have little time, or for those who ran out of income to the "Classic" Inca Trail. Covering a distance of only 12 km, it is a challenge that becomes the perfect place for an unforgettable vacation.
DAY 1: CUSCO - KM 104 CHACHABAMBA
It starts at your hotel, where you will be picked up around 5:00 am And you will travel for 1.5 hours with your guide to Ollantaytambo, where we will take the Train to our starting point called KM 104 "or Chachabamba".
At the starting point, you must show your Ticket for the Inca route. Here we will begin the 3.5 to 4 hour walk to Wiñayhuayna, where we will enjoy a pleasant lunch. The walk to Wiñayhuayna is a beautiful walk, where we can enjoy the incredible flora and landscape that surrounds us. After lunch, we restart the 02 hour walk to Intipunku or "Puerta del Sol", from where we will have excellent views of Machu Picchu and all the surrounding mountains. We rest for about 20 min. And we drive to Machupicchu Inca citadel where we pass and take photos of the upper part, before taking the descent through a zigzagging path to Aguas Calientes where we spend the night.
DAY 2: DAWN IN MACHUPICCHU / RETURN TO CUSCO
After breakfast we go to the bus station and ascend to Machupicchu, once here your guide will take you on a fascinating walk through many Inca sites and temples that hide treasures and history.
At the end you must return by bus and wait for the scheduled time of the train back to Cusco through Ollantaytambo.
